The Nations not Represented in World Governments.
The event Tuesday night, April 23, with Maya K. van Rossum was wonderful!
The people in the audience were very nice and engaged, of course, because they care.
I had the honor of introducing our guest.
Maya gave a great talk with great questions brought up by the audience after.
We had another special guest from St. Francis Wildlife Association. A beautiful Red Shouldered Hawk. She had been hit by a car and cannot go back to her wild home. She was a very welcome guest and representative for the wild voices.
We also had the EV (electric vehicle) Club at the event to display their cars. Thanks Leighanne Boone for setting this up!
Maya’s book The Green Amendment: Securing Our Right to a Healthy Environment was available for purchase and Maya was busy signing the books.
And new friends were made.
And of course, Maya’s assistant, Molly, who keeps Maya’s schedule and Maya sane.
There were raffles as well. Maya raffled one of her books and we raffled so many other wonderful prizes donated from businesses in the community. Thanks to Whole Foods, Paws Pet Boutique, Native Nurseries and Creation Care at Saint Paul’s UMC for their donations.
We’d like to thank Cara Fleischer with Creation Care at Saint Paul’s UMC for offfering their hall and working with us to make this event happen and engage the public in Maya’s important message.
For those who were unable to attend the event was streamed live and will be up for viewing for a while.
